In unreal tournament, all the geforces are MUCH better with OpenGL.

Hmmmm that depends on the game itself, not the video card.

I concur, usually NVIDIA cards do better under OpenGL, but things may change when DX8 optimized games are paired w/ Gefroce3 based (or better) cards

Tribes 2
Counterstrike
(and when they come out) Medal of Honor 2
IL-2 Sturmovik

I think OpenGL is better for CS...but i dunno about Tribes

Most gfx cards are better suited for OpenGL. ATI radeon cards would benefit most from DX8. Other than that, nVidia cards would be better on OpenGL. I could be wrong... You could always compare and contrast after you test both video modes.
