Discussion With Newsom's recall failed, is it time to recall DeSantis or should we forget about recalls?

Newsom's recall vote results showed a picture that is too familiar. That it really is not likely for an opponent party, to successfully win a recall vote in a state that is known to vote heavily towards the same party that the current governor is part of. If thought from that perspective, it probably would not be worth the effort for Texas Democrats to even attempt a recall effort for DeSantis.

1) Florida doesn't have a recall statute for the governor.
2) Recalls are stupid and should never happen.

Yet in 2001, the left-leaning voters in California ousted Gray Davis, a Democrat and gave the job to Ah-Nold Schwartzenactor...a RINO Republican.

That's actually an argument in favor of recalling Abbott; in 2003 CA was only D+10, which is about where TX is now (R+10). Now CA is more like D+20 and illustrates the futility of the recall process, but if you could find a significant wedge for Abbott (and the eery parallels between the energy issues in CA 2003 and texas' issues with its grid and covid both being mismanaged) could prove viable.

There is no recall process in Texas.

Why? He's exactly what Florida wants, an asshole republican.

Most of Florida at any rate. My solution isn't to recall the politicians (another one will be elected, hell Desantis replaced Rick Scott who should be rotting in jail) it's to gtfo of here and leave it to the mouthbreathers.
