Where does the ssd reside? Because i thought the iMac only has 2 sata, one for the hd and the other for the dvdrom. For those who dont get the ssd now and want to add on later is there room inside to fit one in or would we have to remove the dvdrom and put the ssd there instead? If the dvdrom drive is driven by an external solution, are we able to use a blueray drive instead? The blueray drive should be recognised under Win 7 using bootcamp, but will Mac OSX pickup on the drive and treat it like a regular dvdrom?

The SSD is actually in the very back of the machine inside a "Pressure Wall" and is a complete PITA to change. You also however need a special part, if your iMac already didn't come with an SSD.

Sorry, to more clearly answer your question, they've added a third SATA, the optical drive is not removed. You can replace the optical drive with a BR drive but no program is capable of PLAYING VIDEO from a BR disc, but programs like Roxio and Final cut can burn to 25/50Gb BR/BRDL. You would need to boot into windows to play BR movies.
