For integrated video the 780G is stronger. If you end up wanting a G45, read the specs carefully. Some (mostly Gigabyte) don't have a true PCIe x16 slot but are electrically x4. I know you're using IGP, but it is a "just in case."

790GX is slightly overpriced for simply being a 780G with overclocked IGP and SB750 southbridge. these things are all great if you're a phenom overclocker, but if all you want is a low-frequency K8, there is no need throwing the extra $30 at a motherboard. if 1080p playback is a requirement of yours, then presumably you have a large LCD you're using this system with. spend money making the system silent, and get the biggest hard drive you can. you'd be surprised how fast a terabyte is filled by 1080p content.

780g is cheapest. though 8200 is probably better (not much more expensive) because of support for multi-channel LCPM. I think Anand's test showed that 780g had slightly better color reproduction but I think having surround LCPM is much more important. G45 is just too expensive (~$100) while you can get the other chipsets for $70 or less (good ones too such as Gigabyte's 780g that has all the connections you'd want).
