Wishful thinking: Is there such a thing as a free, invisible, ad-free website counter?

I know there's no such thing as a free lunch, but now that hitometer has finally gone under, are there any similar (in statistical scope) free, invisible (that means no ad button, completely invisible) website counters these days?

I use a service that used to have no adverts (ICDirect.com), but now they do and it's really annoying!
