Ok fellas, tomorrow morning I'll be going under the blade and laser... that is if my eyes are thick enough (they dont tell me till tomorrow for that one :() I'm getting a bit nervous now but I'm excited at the same time. I've worn glasses/contacts for as long as I can remember... I really hope I can do it.

Updated:

On Thursday last week, I went in for Lasik surgery... Unfortunately, I wasnt thick enough in my cornea area and therefore was presented with the option of going for PRK. The doctor's informed me it would be a longer heal time and it would be quite uncomfortable. I asked when I would be able to go back to work and after informing them I worked on computers, they said "You should be able to go back Monday."

Hah.

I agreed to have it done, and after the procedure was over I was miserable. Honestly I thought I had just undergone some sort of torture experiment. I knew I wouldnt be able to go back to work on Monday, so I asked again "So, when did you say I could go back?" "Tuesday or Wednesday".

I currently am using the biggest fontsize for Firefox just to be able to type this. The text is still blury and I'm not too happy. Tomorrow I go and get the protective contact lenses removed, so maybe that'll help....

Until later. :(

So if the surgeon's flirting w/ the nurse and accidentally turned the intensity knob too high, will you get a light saber hole right through your head? Get stoned before you go so don't you get nervous and move around too much.

Good luck! I'm just over a year with my laser eyes.

It wasn't bad really but be prepared for the suction part when the create the flap.

It was by far the best money I've ever spent!

no im not. he got a fake eye but broke it grossing out girls and small children. he used to just squeeze it out and let it fall on the floor. one time it broke. now he sticks to the patch.

Thanks everyone  :)
I've gotta brave southern CT traffic with my pops tomorrow before hand, that should be an adventure in itself.

Good luck. I contemplate it, but contacts at the moment are working okay with me. I'd do it but I don't want to lose my 'up close' vision I have when I don't have my glasses on or my contacts in. It makes it really easy to get close and solder something.
