Well, I scheduled my apt. to get my 4 wisdom teeth out. Next weds at 9am :( Very scared, and afarid of being in alot of pain. Especially since I have to go to class the next day. I'm hoping I can do it! All 4 are bony impacted, which I don' t think is good, and they hurt like heck!!

Wish me luck with it! If there are posts from me next week that are all wacked it's probably b/c I am on some kind of pain pill.

Oh, and happy Easter all!

Careful how you party while "drugged up." Mixing chemicals can be pretty bad sometimes. Are they putting you under, gasing you, or giving you a local?

I am being sedated. Not the same as general anestisa b/c I am in control of my own breathing. Then I am having long acting novicane, and probably percs after for the next few days. Just b/c I have been on it before, and know how I react to them.

Don't worry, I would never really drink and use percs at the same time. I am paranoid of getting hooked on them since I know a few people who are, and it's sad to see. But I am getting it done on weds with the hopes of being able to do somehting over the weekend. Not to mention classes the rest of the week.

Well, just don't push yourself. Chances of complete recovery by the weekend with all four wisdom teeth out are slight.

"I wanna be sedated!"

I'm sure it'll be fine but I don't enjoy a dentist visit anymore than you.

4 impacted wisdom teeth & you plan on going to school the next day?

Have fun, you're insane.

Use your drugs, & stay the hell away from straws.

yes, a very well respected oral surgeon. And it's getting done at 9am weds, and class isn't until 5pm thursday. I am trying, the mouth heals fast :) I gotta keep thinking that.

Thanks for all the well wishes! I need them!

You can get dry socket which is painful and uncomfortable. It's bad news. It has something to do with the air moving over the wound or something haha

You can pop out the stitch due to the built up pressure in your mouth while sucking on a straw.

Trust me... you won't want to suck on anything after you get your wisdom teeth pulled.

Ahh, it all comes clear now, So I am going to have a numb mouth, can only have liquid food, and can't drink from a straw. I am going to look like a person in a special home!!!

This is sounding more and more fun! I can't wait.

I am really dreading this. And I thought the worst part was sedation... :(

Oh yea, and you're probably not going to feel like doing much of anything for a couple of days. It took me a week before I was feeling back to my normal self. So I'm betting you definitly not going to school the next day. Well, you might be able to go...but you're not going to be getting much out of it :)

Don't rush the recovery.

I remember looking at the needle, then nothing. You won't have time to fight it.
