I will interview for a internship position at a mortgage lending company tomorrow morning. The position will be a finance job.

Any good wishes is welcome! also any tips is fine too!

Hmmm also I look younger than my age... is it a good idea that I shave my mustache? if I do I will look younger, but I will also look more professional and clean

UPDATE: it went pretty well..

the guy said he will contact me after he interview other potential candidates. I have my fingers crossed

I would suggest shaving unless it makes you look really really young, like 14 or something. Professional image is very important in any kind of finance/sales/business job.

Good luck.

Be relaxed, take it easy, think of it as a chance to get to know someone else a little better

I know its a totally different field

I am trying to find out which field I really want. as of right now I am like at a buffe, I want to sample everything before I really dwelve into any particular subject.

I am actually researching a lot about the mortage industry. and I think this is 10x more interesting given the hella low interest rates that we have currently.

So so true. I interviewed for my programmer job in shorts, t-shirt, and sandals.

Yes but you do realize we are at historic lows. By the time you graduate college if interest rates go up the market could dry up and you could be SOL.

Kind of like me when I graduated college in 1991. I wanted to get into finance at a Japanese company because back then it was the time of Japan, Inc. That probably lasted about 2 years until the Japanese economy went into the crapper. Another recent example could be going to Wall Street or startups in 2000 right before the bubble.

Not meaning to thread crap, just giving you something to think about.

I totally understand and appreciate your point.

At my point in life, I am more concerned in getting the experience rather than setting sight on any particular path. Hence the willing to do any finance related job- thing..
No I am not planning to work in a mortage company full time, and no I am not falling into the fad thing. I know that the interest rates WILL go up, and these mortage lenders are milking the time that they have right now, but I am more concerned for the experience that I will have.
