well i'm ready to start. i'm going to say goodbye to the mobile 2600+ barton thats served me so well at 2.4 gigahertz and say hello to dual core opty 165 . i'm gonna use a beta bios for the asrock board i have to attempt to get 2.6 out of the chip. i bought it from mcbarnett007 and he got it to 2.85 gigahertz on water at 1.5 volts. i'll settle for 2.6 at 1.4 volts. everyone wish me luck. i got pc 4000 ram so hopefully i can get a 166 divider to work. i'll post the results here in a few hours when i'm done (i hope i'm done lol)

this will also be my first attempt at watercooling.

after much frustration its finally working. thank goodness . i havent' done super pi yet or anything but i installed windows in like 7 or 8 minutes. i think its stable lol. and at 2.6. here is a screenshot from everest

it was stable for mcbarnett so

man i was scared. i wired it up and pressed on and it just flashed and didn't do anything else. i was smelling for that burnt smell but nothing. thank goodness . and i did use the ocworkbench beta bios 7 to get a 289 multipler. the chip is runnin a lil hot but i'm not too upset with the temp. i justneed better cooling . hooray for me
