If everyone can wish me luck that would be great. This is my final year in college, and I am about to graduate, but I am seriously struggling my butt off, but I am just trying to make passing grades. If I dont pass my classes this semester, then it is gonna delay my graduation, and things wont be good. My dad has been excited about me graduating, and I really dont want to tell him that his son can't graduate this spring. He has 2 sons, and the older brother, after 8 years, still haven't graduated, and he is feeling so embarassed because all of his friends kids already graduated, while his my older brother is still doing a bachelors after 8 years of college. so I really need to do it to give him face.

Also, my gf, who is from another country, will soon come, and we will want to start our lives together, and if I dont graduate, I won't have time for a a fulltime job, and this will definatly cause more problems too.

I know I know, I"m a bit whining tonight, and there are definatly more important things in this world. I could be a lot worse, and I am a bit selfish.....but when you guys were younger, didn't you guys have a point in your life where everything just seems like a mess, and you were wondering about your life? Didn't you guys have a wish that there is something that you really wanted to accomplish?

Well, this is what I want to accomplish. I want to get this graduation over with, to make my family proud, and then, I can move on w/ my life with my significant other. Whether it be Early Christmas present, or New Years resolution, I really hope this comes true.

I know, this shouldn't be a big deal, but to me, personally, this would really help me. It's like the last stage before I go to full fledge adulthood, and I really want to pass it right away.

I"m sorry to sound so bad and selfish, but you know, just feel a bit down about myself and I'm sure you guys were in the same shoes at one point or another right?

I count double since I know exactly how you felt since I failed my parents in that regard, but have the great luck that they are so accepting of me and where I am in life.

Good luck with the girlfriend...that shouldn't be too bad since she'll understand, and even if you fail a class or two, it'll only be a PT thing.

Just find a way to motivate yourself with your final goal of graduating...not for just your father too, you have to remember what it means to you.

and on that note...life sucks 😉

that's true...haha...but I really dont nef......(check my post count to my registered date...haha)...yea, just that now, that curve ball is coming.......kind of hard to take it.

 
i'm kinda of in the same boat, although the pressure is coming from myself more than my family. (although they really do want me to graduate). I just want to get the hell out of here. I'd be the first one in my immediate family (counting cousins, aunts and uncles) to graduate college.

The key is to just buckle down and focus and get it out of the way. keep school number 1 no matter how hard the temptations of drinking, partying, and bangin your girl hit. Stay focused daniel son!

I am in your same shoes. I should be graduating in May and (my dad is real proud to soon have an engineer in the family), but have fsked up this semester bad. I am sitting around blaming WoW (DIE blizzard!!!), and lurking here but I really know its just me being lazy and avoiding stuff. Your post is gonna hopefully motivate me enough so that I can get through this semester without having to repeat stuff.

I would suggest using firefox+adblock on all those sites you are addicted to. (gonna do that right now!)

Hard work is all that is needed.... thanks for your post and heres a BIG hunk of luck for both of us 🙂
