Here are a few things on my wish list for this year, if anyone knows where I can find these things/how to jury-rig them it would be much appreciated!
Soundcard with optical output (I guess there's the daughter card for the SBLive, if you can even get it anymore from Creative)
Remote control that allows me to access certain programs/functions without having to be looking at a screen (for mp3 playback without a monitor)
Slim desktop form-factor ATX case (only need internal Hard Drive, sound card, network card)
See a pattern yet? I basically want to make an mp3 music server to go with my AV equipment, but I don't want to have to use a monitor or anything. The new Sony Vaio desktop with the NetMD would be perfect, but $2800 is a bit steep.
