I am really longing to have never break below 60 fps in The Witcher 2 @ ultra settings with no ubersampling. I am really looking forward to playing BF3 as well as Skyrim when it arrives with max settings at 1920x1080.

My local Frys has my 6950's twin sitting on their shelf and are willing to price match Newegg's price of $269.99. Good buy? I have looked at benchmarks all day as well as review and I simply cannot make my mind up.

So here I ask, go for it yay or nay? I also have the option of trading my 6950 plus $80 for a GTX 570 and I would be able to pick up a second one of those later this month for a sli configuration.... please make my decisions for me!

Thank you

270 bucks for a 6950 1gb? that does not sound like a good deal at all. if thats really what you paid for the other one then adding 80 bucks to that to get a gtx570 makes that 350 bucks which is not a good deal for a gtx570 either.

yeah man i'm not sure. demigod was a strong album to be sure, but that break away from their black-metal styling still rattles me.

The idea itself is fine, it's the price that's not. $270 is incredibly expensive for a 6950 1GB (IMHO of course), considering you can (could?) get an XFX one for $199 after $30 rebate and a free copy of Deus Ex HR.

I enjoyed their older content as well and it certainly have moved away from their classic black metal and more towards straight death metal. But nonetheless I just love their live performances especially when Nergal spits blood all over my face, gets me all hard and stuff you know.....

I bought the first one with a store credit I had it was the cheapest 6950 they had in stock at the time. And still today that is the cheapest one they have in stock locally. I dont mind paying a small premium and picking from the small selection at Frys their service has been good and they always give me the most hassle free returns of any B&M retailer.

Please don't tell me I have to add another person to my ignore list.

lol wut? nergal has/had cancer. and i don't really see how that's much of a threat either way. i'll never meet you in person, and neither will what happens on this board in any way affect my personal life

He did have cancer, last I heard he was going to be alright thankfully. But not only is he facing cancer but apparently he got in some pretty serious trouble with the Catholic church in his home country for defiling the bible. Hopefully he will just be back touring again soon I want more blood spat on my face by them in their cool stage outfits.

I'm going to see Judas Priest in Toronto on November 17th. Long live metal!
First concert I ever went to '82 Iron Maiden ,backed up Priest.
Couldn't hear when I got home. Addicted ever since.
OP: If you can afford 6950 crossfire, it will rock. Its fun turning everything up to high. :)

Ugh lucky you. There seems to just not be too much of a scene where I live here in Atlanta everyone seems to like these genres called "rap" and "pop" I dont know sounds about as worthless as your standard metalcore band to me.

Well at least Megadeth came for Mayhem festival I suppose. And we have Dream Theater coming in October which will be awesome that I am sure of.

Thats very cool. I got hooked on metal when I got a hold of a copy of Kill 'Em All when I was 10, thought it was the coolest thing ever and was hooked ever since. That was around 2009 but it would have been great to have been alive in what I consider metals prime of the 80's and gone to all the great concerts and what not. Todays stuff just seems lame in comparison to the 80's era of metal.

I think I am just going to do it. Worse case I have 30 days to return and I will just look at it as a test drive.
