They usually have to be removed because the average human mouth does not have room for them. I have yet to have mine removed and havent run into any problems yet. Do they hurt you at all?

i'm not a dentist, but i can tell you that...especially if you've had braces when you were younger, often wisdom teeth will come in at an angle and shift all your pretty teeth over...basically destroying the 3K or whatever you dropped in braces

They don't hurt but I noticed that they're loose. Well, I guess just gonna have to do it and get it over with.

Just do it!;)

Its not that big a deal. You should be fine in a few days after they are gone.

If your dentist is recommending they be yanked then there is probably a good reason for it.

Yeah, if the dentist said they should come out, they should probably come out. I'm lucky, I turned down braces when I was younger and when my wisdom teeth came in, they actually pushed the rest of my teeth into better alignment. (The braces would have been to eliminate some gaps, which are now filled in because the wisdom teeth pushed everything together.) :) When my wisdom teeth came in, the dentist told me that if I had gotten braces, he would have had to pull my wisdom teeth.

Ok, so, you've already been to the dentist, as someone had to tell you that they need to be pulled out... how did that go? Something like this?

Dentist: "Looks like you'll need to have your wisdom teeth out, I'll have the receptionist schedule you for an appointment next week."

you: "ok." <- Goes home and jumps on the computer - "Why is he gonna take my wisdom teeth out???"

You didn't think to ask that to the dentist, who 1) has a medical degree, 2) has examined you personally, and 3) was already there at the appointment with you?

My dentist is recommending that mine should be pulled and she doesn't have a good reason for it.
