I just got 'approved' for my wisdom teeth removal.

1 Surgical Impaction $65
1 Extract Impaction $95
1 Extract Impaction $95
1 Extract Impaction $95
Gen Anesthesia/1st 30 Min $130

Total Patient Copayment: $480

Is that right for a COPAYMENT?!?!? I didn't know the entire procedure cost that much!

(Obviously I'm going to call them tomorrow to verify, just need to know how much these procedures typically cost. Thnx.)

Broke even, got 500 for doing a dental study for one side, paid 500 to get the other side done because there was any studies going on, and they were hurting

I think it was $1000 for all four. It was considered cheap, since two of them were impacted. Stayed awake, did one side of the face at a time.

Go to a dental school. Mine were like $250 total for all four, and I was operated on by a full dentist observed by a dental surgeon.

I haven't had mine removed. They actually all came in although 1 is not straight. Had one dentist tell me to pull them (even before they came in), another told me that I could keep them as long as they didn't bother me.

And that's the part I don't understand. I started this thread to get an idea of prices for the process. They said they did "approve" it, but yet my copayment is soo much.

No biggie, will call them tomorrow.

Link is worthless on purpose, just like this thread is worthless! Do a search tool, you'll see I am right!

Edit for bitchyness

Sure thing slick. I think if you knew what you were doing to prove a point, maybe linked to the search page?

Thanks for the replies everyone. Case closed.
