Wisdom teeth removal

My dentist said that 2 need to be removed, but I should get 4 removed because there wont be anything for the other 2 teeth to bite down upon. Not that I disagree, but I dont want to take out more than needed, want the recovery time to be as short as possible. Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? I have the apt. today, will find out soon, but was curious.

i got all 4 out at once, everything went well for me no dry socket or anything, I was eating solid food within 2 days i would say. its not that bad, u just have to have someone there with you for the first couple of hours afterward.

You might as well get all four out at one time. You never know if - or when - you'll need to get the other two out later.

I had all 4. It definitely wasn't as bad as people says it was going to be. I didn't have a lot of pain, but I did look like a chipmunk for a while.

the prob is that if you leave them, you can remove later; but if you remove them now, you can not take them back later if you need them 😕. that s wat the OP concerned bout

get all 4 out. you won't need them and they might super-erupt since there are no opposing teeth.

Get all 4 out, unless some are impacted. Wait for them to rip through one day and then get them out. Saves a lot of money.

mine were impacted (growing sideways) and the healing process sucked after having them removed. but i'd rather do it once than twice.

had to get all 4 out... or else they would have impacted. my dentist wanted me ot remove two more on the top to give room for my front teeth, as they buck a little. I didn't want to tho, i'd have almost nothing to chew with after that...

Might as well do all 4. It does suck, but it's not so bad. Save yourself an extra trip and get em all out at once.

I had all 4 taken out at once. 1 was impacted, and I later got a dry socket with it. One thing - if they can knock you out for it, go that way. My doc wouldn't knock me out and even after all the shots and the gas I still felt pain.
