Just got back from the dentist and damn, I was just supposed to get an oral checkup. He cleaned the right side of my mouth and said that my right upper one was growing sideways :( He asked if I wanted it out... and I said as he later said "i recommend pulling it out now". Well, I was gonna get the left side cleaned on monday so I'm guessing he's gonna pull the left upper one out on Monday :( It's been 3 hours since I've been back and it hurts bad... I had a local anesthesia.

wait...ur general pulled em out??? he didnt' send u to a specialist? if you have insurance i highly recommend you go to a oral surgeon to do the job NOT a general. general's my be capable of doing it but they don't give u the knock out option. a surgeon will have it out in 45 mins. your doctor didn't prescribe any painkillers, aka vicodin?

btw, i work in a dental office.

hehehe, i'm the dental assistant/office manager/tech support. the dentist is my cousin and i helped him open up his office. i'm trying to get into dental school so he offered me a job to get experience, in return i helped him set up his office network.

I think he has specialist degree or something. He's my dad's friend. The guy got in medical school at 23 and got out at like 40 so he has every degree related to your mouth and teeth :) He has numerous publications too.... I trust him, but not my teeth :)

I'm a bit scared of needles. When I went to the dentist to show this lump that had shown up on the left side of my lower jaw, the dentist just burst it open, cleaned the pus, and fixed me right up. He told me to come in for X Rays a week later but I never went.

Bad?

I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled the same day, and had to have one surgically extracted because it broke off - by a US ARMY dentist.

One is nothing. . .

I had all 4 of mine out at once and had no problems at all, didn't even bother taking the painkillers.

Drinking orange juice is bad cause it'll burn, eat soft stuff like ice cream but don't suck on stuff through a straw cause the suction can cause bleeding I think.

I did not have my wisdom teeth taken out until I was 28. Three of the were taken out since they had cavities. The last one I still have. I was in at 8am out by 10am and on the paintball field the next day.
