The kids may not have thought about it but it doesn't mean it wasn't highly disrespectful for them to tape their shit all over the memorial.

To be fair, they posted random shit to the back, the unseen side of the memorial, and the front was left completely unscathed. So I'm not sure "highly disrespectful" is entirely accurate.

that's not exactly the case but I'm sure it doesn't matter to those who wish to diminish the disrespect...

oh bullshit. I already posted what desecrated means. It fits this scenario but yet you libs never seem to be able to accept it. You're all about feelings until you get caught doing something like this and then won't own up to the fact that others might be offended by what you did. The kids may not have thought about it but it doesn't mean it wasn't highly disrespectful for them to tape their shit all over the memorial.
BTW, the video's title is disrespect so take your goalpost move accusation and shove it.
Yes, moran, the video's title was "disrespect," something I pointed out early in the thread. That's the problem, Patranus dishonestly changed it to "desecrate." That's a much different, far more emotionally charged word, your lame, cherry-picked spun definition notwithstanding. And if you truly believed this incident rises to the level of desecration, why then did you attack "leftists" for excusing disrespect? It's because you're a dishonest hack who lacks either the integrity or the intellect to engage in honest debate.

Whatever. This whole thread is a joke, a feeble attempt to invent outrage and distract attention from Walker's attack on collective bargaining and his other questionable actions. It's not surprising to me at all that you're here fanning the faux flames. That's what dishonest hacks do.

lol, the only dishonest hacks are the ones that are trying to diminish the disrespect these "protester" are showing. Someday you twits will realize you hurt your own cause by not rejecting these sorts of people and tactics... but I'm not holding my breath for that day - your track record of waking up to reality is pretty poor.

Please then, what IS the case?

Someday you twits will realize you hurt your own cause by not rejecting these sorts of people and tactics...

Tactics? Are you now saying that affixing a piece of paper to the BACK side of a monument is a tactic? ... really? A tactic to what end?

Yes, there is more than just memorial disrespect going on... or are you so simple you can't see what is going on?

lol, are you trying to say that taping some paper to the BACK side of a memorial while leaving the front completely unscathed was a deliberate tactic designed to elicit .. well, I honestly have no idea what that would be designed to elicit, but you must? Seriously?

Typical freeper drama queen. Yet, oddly, None of the baggers have used the work "ilk" in this tread. I am deeply disappointed.

Or you could look at the reality of the situation there in Madison. But again, reality isn't a liberal's strong suit.

Is this really about the memorial?... or your almost pathological hatred of liberals?

I mean this is really grasping at straws here (or sticky notes).

Sherman should have done while on his tour through the southern states anyhow.

He didn't have the chance, the south built them after the war and some weren't erected for another fifty years.

In any conflict the losers tend to have the longest memories and the winners often have the attitude that they should "get over it". In the south's case, fifty years of what was euphemistically called "reconstruction" left their economy devastated and ensured their hatred for the north persisted. It probably also contributed to the delay of the civil rights movement.

Then in the last century the leftists lost their war and were punished and now its the extreme right wing feeling they are loosing the war and being punished. Hence the hyper sensitivity over a small war memorial being ever so slightly disrespected no matter how briefly.
