You expect the GOP leg won’t challenge the election results now? “Fake election—hardly anyone voted!”

I actually (jokingly) predicted this on my FB page the day before the election. There are already comments on the Journal Sentinel Facebook articles from GOPers suggestion this very thing - that the election was a shame and questionable. It's really incredible.

Repub's plan to suppress the liberal vote backfired in a very telling kind of way. Even with their efforts to keep Dem voters at home they lost. That should send a very chilling message to the GOP's look at November's tally.

It's funny, many Trumpists have the same kind of hubris in 2020 that they accused the left of having in 2016, assuming the election is sewn up... only here, there's already tangible evidence to suggest November could go very differently. Many people aren't happy with how Republicans have run them ragged, and they're ready for a return to basic competence and integrity with the Democrats.

Yea, could be a tough time for certain Pub senators. Susan is that you?

Which down ballot Republicans do you expect to abandon ship and distance themselves from Trump even before the convention??

My eyes are on Susan Collins, Thom Tillis, and Jodi Ernst. McConnell won’t budge unless his seat really looks to be in jeopardy.

There is no such thing as 'hurting the right people'. When you place money hungry liars, thieves, rapists, racists, fascists and murderers into a position of power, they'll hurt you as well.

You have to be brain dead to vote gop at this point.

The big problem in the US is the two party system. Same as UK.

The Democrats, rightly or wrongly, are considered poison by a sizeable slice of the population. The "crooked Hilary" tag line didn't come from nowhere. White collar crime is rife within the Democrats as well, perhaps not to the extent as the GOP, but its definitely there.

I think Americans are upset with both parties. The reason Trump won was because he was an outsider. He wasn't really a Republican, but had to pick a side to become POTUS. Republicans are typically older (50 plus) and the reason people vote within the Republican party is because they are mad and upset that the gov keeps taking their money. I live in NJ and the taxes are very high in my state. The Dems get much of the blame. Where I live we have a lot of older people who vote Republican. There are two types of Republicans though. The middle class and the the wealthy. The wealthy live in shore towns like Stone Harbor/Avalon and don't have anything iin common with the middle class Republicans. They like the tax breaks. Democrats tend to be younger, and are in careers like education. I can't tell you how many educators I know who vote Democrat, yet their husbands who are in law enforcement vote Republican. It's all so stupid and rigid. I try to vote on the merits of the person running. I guess you could say that I'm an independent. We need more politicans who aren't tied to any party. I guess you could say Trump is that politican, but I think he's too extreme.

Just my opinion.

You think having another party would fix that? All it would do is create another target and box for the right (or any extremist type group) to put people in.

Sorry, but countries with multiple parties are having the exact same problems so that argument is nonsense. Hell, I hope you know that its actually entirely possible that the Green Party (which is being funded by right wing deliberately for this reason) has cost Democrats (very probably played a role in the 2016 election).

That will be true no matter what government you have, be it 5000 parties or 1. Power breeds corruption. There is a huge difference between standard power corrupts and what Republicans and other right wing parties are pushing for. If you can't see it then I don't know what to say. It really is as simple as that.
