It may have been a minor accident, BUT its not a minor event. The Attorney General either 1) knowingly broke the law, or 2) excerised extremely poor judgement. Regardless of the validity of the DUI laws, she should of known better. I appreciate your willingness to look at the other side, but I don't agree with you at all.
She got the punishment anyone else would have
I also found out that Wisconsin is the only state where your first offense DWI is only a ticket. No jail time, no nothing.
You idiots really really need to look into non-MADD/SADD information on what DUI/DWI really is about, the testing methodology and how much money it makes vs. how much money it costs.
The truth is most DUI arrests are non-incidental, not even someone weaving in and out of traffic and all the sensationalism the MADD/SADD shows portray. However the MADD/SADD lobby has made themselves a monster in politics, pushing mostly non-related issues through.
The testing method is to test you breath to determine blood alcohol level....some people have more 'blood' than others in their respiration. Any mouth bleeding will greatly affect this, including ulcers.
Then you have the level of 'drunkeness'. Let's say it's 0.08....now some will be more impaired and some will be not even impaired slightly. It's a piss-poor test.
Now consider # of injury accidents / fatalities everyday and how many DUI/DWI related ones there are....out of this nearly insignificant group how many did the impairment really cause the accident?
You are all brainwashed that think otherwise. That is your right to be a puppet.
I am not saying driving drunk is the proper thing to do, I am saying for many that were arrested for it there was no 'drunkeness' going on.
