wiring reversed

I connected an ethernet connection using the 568B wiring schematic with a plug (to connected to router) on one end and a in-wall jack on the other. I hooked up my tester and it reports a "reversal". Looking at the plug end I can see that it is right colorwise for 568b so the problem must be with the jack. I don't have any more punch-down jacks but have a box of plugs. How can I change the wiring order when I crimp a new plug so the cable will work?
Currently (i.e. with the reversal error message) the plug is wired OrW/Or/GrW/Bl/BlW/Gr/BrW/BR

thanks

Try swapping the orange and green pair on the outlet or panel.

It might be that you have a 568a panel and a 568b outlet (or VV)

Did the testing device give you any more specific tan "Reversal?" It might also be interpreted in a swap of the color/white-color wires in the panel-outlet span.

Give it a critical eyeball and let us know.

Good Luck
Scott
