wiring diagram for Chieftec DX-01 case?

I knew this case didn't come with a manual - one of the few regular complaints about it I've seen. I just didn't think it would matter much as I've put together several systems.

I'm stuck, though, trying to figure out which if these many wires from the front USB and Firewire ports go where. I have an Epox 8RDA+ and I have attached the slot card 1394 ports so far, so I have both USB and FW available on the back but I'd like to get the front ports hooked up.

Can anyone point me to a diagram or manual for this case on the web so I can get these front ports connected? Thanks for your time!

Now we'll see if that gets the job done!

Unfortunately it didn't get the job done. While I am sure I can hook the USB pins up correctly (actually a friend will have to do it as I am colorblind) the 1394 wires and their connectors just plain won't work with the on-board pins. They're too large to even fit snugly onto the pins. I guess I will have to either do some surgery on the slot cover ports and move one of them to the front or buy a separate usb/1394 combo kit to fit in one of the floppy bays - as long as it has the appropriate connector.

Anyone have any advice for me?:(

I ran into a similar problem with the firewire pins on my A7V333-RAID, which uses the same style of motherboard header. I think your best bet is to wave off on that for now. AntecCSR told me that Antec will be producing an adapter that will let you plug the case's front Firewire port into a standard 6-pin Firewire jack, so you could just route Firewire to the front jack by extension-cord methodology.

On the topic of the 8RDA+, here is some valuable info for you: USB pinout warning

Oh, and for hooking up the USB wiring, it's a snap. Separate the plugs according to whether they have the numeral 1 or the numeral 2. They go Ground, Data+, Data-, 5V Power from left to right on each row. The 5V Power pins are the two at the far right, so start with those and work left, leaving Pin 10 (bottom left pin) unoccupied. You'll have one spare Ground pin, just let it dangle.

As long as you keep all the 1's on one row of pins, and all the 2's on the other row, it doesn't matter which is which.

Reference page 3-11 of the manual if you need.
