Hayo. I finally wore out both my wired PS2 controllers that I used for a long time. In the last few years just been using PS2 controllers for PC via a PS2->PC adapter. Now that those are broken I hooked up my wireless PS2 controller (it has a receiver thing that goes in the PS2 port to transmit to the controller). The adapter detects the controller just fine and all the buttons are how they should be

BUT, it's lags every 2 seconds. A big hiccup every 2 seconds like it's on a timer, like computers do when something is wrong. So I can't play games when all the buttons freeze over and over and over, unless I get it fixed. Don't suppose anyone has an idea what could be causing the lag and how to fix it? Also is there a way to turn the wireless controller off when I'm not using it, without unplugging it? I leave my PC on pretty much all the time. Doesn't appear to be a way to turn it off manually :p

mHmm...no guarantee any other adapter will work with a wireless controller it's all a tossup. It's a nice controller though so I wish I could use it. I guess I could just buy a PS3 controller if they ever come down under $50.

All of my other USB devices work fine. I just don't think the adapter is compatible with this wireless controller for whatever reason. Where can you change the USB polling rate though anyways?

Don't get a PS3 controller if you are running 64bit windows as they still do not work properly. There is a driver out there which will get it to work, BUT, you have to be online, and you have to load it each and everytime you boot (they have some ads on the application which is how they are making money on creating the driver as they are the only ones out there).
