Wireless

I love my MS wireless mouse and will buy the new MS Wireless Optical Desktop Pro soon. You never really understand what a PITA the wires are until they're gone. The battery life on my mouse is excellent, like 4 months off of 2 AAs. That said, people say there's a lag and that it can affect your gaming. I'm not a super hard core gamer but I like to play and haven't noticed a problem.

I don't really PERSONALLY like them because you have to replace batteries every once in a while, even though it might not be often, I still find it as a pain, and yes, the lag while playing games.

The MX series by Logitech seem to do really well in terms of 'lag' or the lack thereof. I don't notice a difference at all between corded, and cordless with my MX700.

Hey, i just got the Logitech MX Duo last night and so far it's great! I had to tweak the mouse sensitivity after hooking it up but other than that I haven't had problems with it and I hope I continue not to!! Also, the mouse in the MX Duo has rechargeable batts in it and the sending unit is built in to the charging cradle so it's pretty cool.

I've been wanting to get that for a while but I can't bring myself to spend $75+ on a keyboard and mouse. I'm sure it's worth it, but something doesn't sit right in my mind. Sigh, one day I'll get it...

So should i get wireless? I had a wireless keyboard and mouse, the keyboard always had connecting problems and one day it got sticky keys so i tried cleaning it and then i found out i used more than a "damp" tissue so i broke it. The mouse is fine though, it's the most comfrortable mouse i've ever used it's optical and wireless, but sometimes the batteries in it leak and i know taht's not good. Can anyone who has a wireless mouse/keyboard give me some pro and cons about their keyboard/mouse?

mitchafi, the rig you have listed looks relatively pricey...might as well dump another ~75 into a nice keyboard and mouse

depends on your application.

i still use old keyboard but mouse is different.

wireless mouse is great for gaming.

but i can't stand it for content apps. so i use regular optical mouse on my other rig for photoshop and other "movement-sensitive" applications.
