Wireless woes at coffee shop. How about Linky combo switch/access point to use with Netgear wireless card??

OK, I installed a D-Link wireless LAN at the local coffee shop ("room2roam&quot😉. Works great, but it costs 10 bux to rent the D-Link DWL-650 card. The coffee jockey there says if I can get my own wireless card to work with their system, I can surf for free. So, now I have a Netgear MA401 and for the life of me I can't get the thing to work. Here are the D-Link settings.

Channel 1
Network Type Infrastructure
Power Save Level Normal
Power Save Mode Disabled
SSID any
Transmit Rate Fully Auto

RTS Threshold Disabled
Fragmentation Threshold Disabled
Power Saving Disabled
WEP Disabled
ATIM Window Disabled
Listen Interval Maximum

I tried to set the Netgear as close as possible, with no luck. As the D-Link and Netgear use the same chipset, I even tried installing the D-Link drivers with the Netgear.

I'm thinking the coffee shop is excluding unknown MAC addresses or something, but I'm not sure. Considering it's a coffee shop, I can't ask for "tech support". 😛

Also, anyone have any experience with the Linksys wireless AP/Ethernet switch/gateway?
