I'm going to get a new wireless card and give my current one to my brother, but I'm looking for one that supports linux or is relatively easy to get working with linux. It has to be a 802.11g card, I'm not going to downgrade for linux support. ;) Does anyone know of any wireless g cards that support linux?

Thanks

I had a list at one point of supported chipsets, but I can't find it. :(

Basically, I don't think there are any supported 802.11g chipsets by the vanilla kernel. You'll have to look at madwifi for support.

EDIT:
arionet 4500/4800 Linux
Atmel AT76C50x Linux
Raytheon Raylink Linux
WaveLAN/IEEE Linux
Prism 2/Orinoco(?) Linux
Planet WL 3501 Linux
Netwave Airsurfer Linux (Experimental)

i believe you can use a Windows driver for Linux using ndiswrapper.

Yay, linking binary-only Windows code into your Linux kernel, that's smart. Yes, people do it and it seems to work, no I don't think it's smart and I wouldn't recommend it.
