wireless + wired?

in my house there are a total of 4 computers, all networked wirelessly to share the internet. I have my desktop and laptop in my bedroom, and id like to network those two via crossover cable to quickly share files between the two (wireless is just too slow). What is the easiest way to do this to keep the internet and network bridge (for print sharing) on wireless?

crossover cable between the two, static IP's on a different range (10.0.0.1, 10.0.02) and access each computer via unc paths using IP's, (\\10.0.0.1\share)
or, unbind TCP/IP from wired, bind NETBUI, and unbind MS filesharing from wireless NIC's
