Wireless/Wired LAN problem

Hi,
I've had some experience with a Windows XP wired home network environment, but recently I moved in with a housemate and he has a laptop with a wireless connection to a Netgear WGR614v4 wireless router. While I'm plugged in via a Cat5 cable, he's on Wireless-G. We're trying to set up a basic LAN so we can share specific folders. So far we've both set our workgroup to be the same name, and in my experience that, plus the sharing of folders, should be sufficient to let one another see each other. However, while I'm able to access the workgroup, as well as see both of us on it, he's not able to access the workgroup at all.

Does anyone know why? Are there any extra settings that need to be set for the wireless side?

The Wireless Computer is able to connect to the internet, it's been doing so all the time, sharing the cable connection via the router. It's the Windows network sharing that's the problem. He's done the same thing as I have to set the network up, that is, joining the same workgroup as I have. Nevertheless, I shall read the 2 links. Thanks.
