<http://www.heavyweather.info/english_us/english_2310.html>
Model WS-2310 wireless weatherstation for $179.99, which normally
sells for $300. This is a "The Weather Channel" badged version, manufactured
by Lacrosse Technology <http://www.lacrossetechnology.com>
It comes with wind direction/speed sensor, outdoor temp/humidity sensor,
and rain gauge. The clock is set automatically via WWVB broadcasts with
selectable timezone/DST.
It can be run either wireless from the base station, up to about 80 feet, or wired
(via supplied RJ11 phoneline).
The outside therm sensor serves as the master for the rain gauge and wind sensors,
and transmits back to the base station display. The therm sensor is powered by two AA batteries,
and the base station by three AA batteries.
The unit also comes with an optional AC wall wart for the base station. If the base station
is hardwired to the remote therm unit, the therm unit et al will be powered from the wall
wart also.
It measures, records, and timestamps barometric pressure, indoor/outdoor temp,
indoor/outdoor humidity, wind speed/direction, 1hr/24hr/total rainfall, etc., along
with Min/Max for each. You can also establish alarm values for any of the above. Units
are configurable in various ways (wind in MPH, m/s, Beaufort, etc., temp in F/C, etc.).
The base station has a full backlit LCD display, and you can upload data to a PC using the
supplied HeavyWeather PC software (Windows) and a supplied PC serial cable.
