Wireless vs wired DSL speed

Is it normal for throughput speed to be a somewhat lower than wired speed, on the same network ?

My SBC DSL rated seed is 1500 kbps


using wired connection I get about 1250 kbps, using wireless G I get about 950 kbps.

I doubt that it has to do with the DSL.

1250 might be what you get form 1500Mb/sec. If the Wireless is lower it has to do with the Wireless connection per-se the DSL.

Otherwise try to optimize the TCP/IP Stack: Optimizing & Measuring the "Speed" of Internet Connection.

I think this fact can not change. It is the price of wireless.
