Wireless USB mouse and keyboard.. input constantly interrupted

I just built a new machine:

AMD (Venice) Athlon 64Bit 3200+ Socket 939
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe S939 NF4 SLI ATX - Sound 2xgln 1394 USB2 SATA
XFX GeForce 6800 GT PCI-E 256MB DDR3 TV + DUAL DVI
Corsair (VS512MB400) 512MB, DDR400 / PC3200, non-ECC, 184 DIMM, unbuffered, CL2.5, 32Mx8 DRAMs (2)
Maxtor 6L200M0 Diamondmax 10 200GB 7200rpm Serial ATA150 8mb Cache - Oem
Antec Sonata Midi Tower in Piano Black Trupower 380W PSU - 9 Drive Bays
NEC ND3540A 16x DVD±RW Dual Layer Internal IDE (Black)
Antec Neopower 480 Watt - Power Supply ATX V2.0 24pin UK
Ebuyer Extra Value System Exhaust Blower Fan
Ebuyer Extra Value Hard Disk Cooler (one per drive)

And it's running absolutely great. My only complaint is that I can't use my wireless keyboard and mouse because the input is constantly interrupted. An example would be playing an FPS game and when holding down 'W' to move forward, I take about 3 or 4 paces before stopping and having to depress and repress. Outside of games, the mouse constantly stutters and when I'm typing into input boxes it misses a lot of characters. I switched over to my wired (but not USB) mouse and keyboard and everything is A-OK.

Can anyone give me a hint on where to look to improve this? My wireless keyboard + mouse work perfectly on my old crappy machine so it's not them

Check if you have interference in the room. Perhaps a wireless land phone or maybe a wireless network. You can probably change the frequency of the input if it is RF.

I dont know why it would work and than stop and work again instantly... but i have a similar problem... i have the black logitech cordless set from 2002 and it's been working fine until lately... the mouse would stop working... pressing conect won't work .. i have to unplug the usb and do all these things until it works again...

receiver is less than a foot away ... no other interferences... what gives?

did you figure out what your problem was?

It's either hardware or software related.

Hardware:
Specs of the keyboard and mouse (vendor/model). Any fans or any other electrical devices around? What kind of monitor? Try keyboard and mouse on atleast 2 other PC's not just one.

Software:
Reinstall the software with the latest version.

Let us know.
