Recently having problems with my desktop. My computer keep getting stuck at the shutting down page(the circle beside it still spinning so its not freezing) but it just won't shutdown/restart no matter how long i wait so i have to hold down the power button for like 5 seconds to reboot it. However, this long shutdown problem ONLY HAPPEN when my TP LINK USB WN8200ND V1 WIRELESS ADAPTER has no light which means no connection to the internet. It got nothing to do with my MODEM or INTERNET because my mobile phone is still connected to the wifi. So its like SOMETIMES i start my computer, the USB wireless adapter will not work and i have to restart my computer to get it working again but when i want to restart, it cause me to hang at shutting down screen(not freezing as the circle beside the shutting down word still spinning)..
I have a feeling it got something to do with the drivers. Thats why sometimes during after start-up, the driver for the tp-link or whichever never load. Which is why no matter how i unplug and replug in the USB or OTHER usb port, it won't detect it. Have to restart the computer
My drivers is the latest though.
There is NO SOUND when i unplug the wireless usb adapter and replug it. You know the sound that comes from the system when you plug in a thumb drive, yes, that's the sound that didn't take place.I have to restart my computer to get it working again.
If i keep holding on to the power button(4 sec) to shutdown, sooner or later, will spoil my hardware physically rather than software issues right? Because if spoil due to software issue, can still reformat to solve but if hardware, have to change . -.-
This issue happens around 2-3 times a week. Tried using "the wireless troubleshoot problems". This is what i get
Update 2: i tried installing a new usb wireless adapter that i just bought using the CD OR download the setup from the website. IT don't work
Update 3:Nevermind, i reformmated my computer. Now using my new usb adapter. Lets see if the issue persist again.
I forget to mention that during reformatt, i had to format my hard disk first before choosing a drive for installation. So after i formatted both drive, it says im not able to install windows on BOTH PARITION. it says something related to GPT/MBR partition. However, the error is gone after i restarted and is able to choose a drive to install windows to. This problem didn't occur previously when i reformatt last few times. Next when i reach the first screen where it ask me to choose my keyboard and region settings, my USB keyboard and mouse is not detected, thus i can't reformatt. I tried using other usb port and it didnt work. Regardless USB3.0 or 2.0. I've to keep restarting and try the reformatt till its able to detect my mouse keyboard. During bios and stuff, the keyboard/mouse did work. Once again,i think its driver issue(unable to load the drivers), thus its unable to detect the keyboard/mouse when i reach the first screen of reformatt(system restore). Take note that when i first got my computer, i don't have issue of keyboard/mouse not working during windows install @ the first screen where u get to click/type.
All this issues seems related. Driver issues. Could the driver issues be the symptoms of a HARD DISK PHYSICAL/HARDWARE failure since drivers is store in harddisk. Thus causing system not able to load the wireless usb adapter drivers AFTER windows startup AND during windows install(first screen)
