wireless uptime/downtime free softare?

I'm using my wireless connection and I need a free program that allows me to know when my connection is down. Sometimes the connection is only down for several seconds, but I don't notice it. I need something that would tell me any downtime period no matter how short.

I need a program that does this too. It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting in a matter of seconds before I even realize it.

sounds like it could be malware. Intel wireless drivers will do it if u have intel. Not true intrusive.
