Wireless Tethering

Rooted Evo, wireless tethering installed.

How do I connect a laptop to the connection?
I start tethering on the phone but I don't see the connection listed as a wireless network on the laptop (Win 7).

I love wireless tether. I don't use it much, but for those random occasions that you need internet access (and it's unavailable) it can be a godsend.

We are going on vacation in two weeks and I want the option of using the tether for the laptop.

I initially got the smart phone because a lot of sites are blocked at work and it makes it easier to get what I want/need. That and the company cell phone was a piece of shit. Plus, were weren't allowed to text or email pics. I just set up call forwarding to my personal cell.
