I have a ADSL Modem. I have a TPLINK TLWR642G 108Mbps Wireless Router. I can connect well using my laptop wireless also. I have a desktop in another room and I have a DLINK DWA-130 USB wireless Adapter to connect to my wireless router.
However the signal in my desktop is of only 2 bars and the connection strength is not so good and it always drops. I don't want to drag a wire from router to desktop pc all the way in the home.
Is there an option how I can increase the signal strength ? I also checked wireless signal booster and was told that it would not help much.
If I use another router as a gateway or an access point , would it help to get better signal or is there any other option.
On my desktop I have both Vista as well as ubuntu (linux).
