Wireless setup help

i just moved into our first house and unfortunately during the renovation i completely forgot to have the contractors run ethernet wiring, so now for the first time i'm stuck with wireless.

in my old apartment i had everything wired, so i didn't even try to bother with wireless, but now i have no choice and i'm starting to run into some small problems.

my setup is mostly all d-link. the router is dgl-4300, and i have a pci and a notebook adapter. these three were the first things i got, and they work flawlessly together at 108mpbs. Nice steady connection anywhere in the house without any problems, and decent speed.

i started having problems when i bought wireless adapters for my tivo's as well as the dsm-320 media player. these do not support superg, so they can only connect at 54mpbs.

my router seems to be either/or. it either runs the whole network at 108 with a nice strong signal, or it goes in the "mixed mode" where it can run other g devices. it will simply not see any g devices when set in the superg mode.

i'm looking for a workaround for this problem. i need my tivo's to connect, same for the medialounge player, but the drop in speed and signal strength is rather significant when i turn off the superg mode on the router.

is there a workaround for this? basically, i have two sets of devices. one that is capable of 108mbs and one that is not. is there a way to have, maybe through a use of an access point, a way to connect them together as separate groups?

The 108 SuperG and other similar concoction are all propriety and thus in most cases do not support devices (like WDS, Client APs, Game Box adaptor, etc.).

Take a look at the D-Link DWL-2100AP might be that it can be configured in SuperG mode while acting as a client.
