im not too familiar with wireless networking or terms so i'm gunna have to explain this the long way. i already have a smc wireless router that i use that works just fine in my apartment. it doesnt have the range to reach outside to the courtyard however. i also have an airport base station that right now is plugged into the smc router with a crossover cable. the only computer that uses the base station is an ibook. both routers are 802.11b. what i would like to do is keep the smc router where it is at one end of my apartment then put the airport base station at the other end of my apartment without a wire so it can receive a wireless signal from the smc and then send a wireless signal to a laptop out in the courtyard. is that possible? and if so, what is that called? i thought it was a bridge, but it sounds like a bridge just connects two separate wired networks? anyway, im clueless, so any help is appreciated.
thanks.
