<--- Not a network person.
My step mother asked me to buy and install a wireless router for them. The signal has to travel about 100' through 2 interior (bedrooms) and 1 exterior (stucco) wall to an outside, patio area.
She wants to spend about $50.
Reading up on N routers I see comments that they have more bandwidth but less range.
They will be using a laptop, tablet and iPhones at the 100' (outside) location. They don't stream video now but they may want to in the future.
Will a $50 N router do this? I don't want to set it up and find a weak signal at the 100' location.
TIA
