Wireless Router Recommendation

I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on what wireless routers are leading the pack right now. I'm looking for something that has the maximum range and throughput possible. Range is a bigger factor than throughput though. I'm not worried about having 802.11ac so that doesn't matter.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. I've looked at the Linksys E2500 and Netgear D6300. The Netgear seems to suffer from some bad electronics but has good reviews when it works right.
