im lookin into buyin a wireless router and ive read 2.4ghz phones can reboot the router..is this true for all..i was interested in the Dlink 624 but i see that it is 2.4ghz and so is my home phone...i would like to stay around the same price range (onsale for $75-$20 MIR=$55)...if this one would not work is there any others that would?...Thx

You may get a bit of interference, but won't reboot your router.haven't heard of that and it doesn't happen in my house, my parents or anyone else I set up wifi for.

Probably only an issue with a specific model/revision router. I've only seen that posted a couple times on other sites. dslreports.com forums are a good source for strange issues with various models. You may want to check there for any info on the DLink 624.

This Post and answers are puzzling to me.

The Last I heard ALL 802.11b AND OR 802.11G are 2.4GHz Devices.

As far as I am concern 2.4GHz is a Big NO NO in Wireless Network envioroment, some people think that they get away with changing the phone's channels.

The fact that we do not have the right equipment o measure the effect of the 2.4GHz on the Wireless Network does not mean that it is OK.

Even if it looks like it working, it is always ?depressing? the Signal.

Better off, to downgrade to 900MHz:thumbsdown:, or Upgrade to 5.8GHz.:
