Have a 4 system LAN hardwired to a Linksys 8 Port Router(also is hooked up to Cable Internet). Recently my bro buys a 4 port Linksys Wireless Router so he can surf on his Sony Vaio. Everything works great for that, but whenever the Wireless Router is connected to the Network all other computers lose access to the Network.

He hasn't provided me with many details, but he tried Disabling DHCP to see if that would fix the issue, but it has made no difference.

Any suggestions, solutions, Links, or Other are appreciated. :)

Are you using the wireless router out of one the hardwired routers 8 ports, or are you just using the wireless router by itself now? I'd say your main problem was you or rather your brother bought Linksys, but that's not really fair to them, they've improved their equipment over the past 2 years. I had 3 of their early 802.11B wireless routers go bad within 2 months. If you're using the wireless router out of one of the hardwired routers ports, the wireless router needs to have dhcp disabled and should get it's ip address from the hardwired router. You could be running into a double NAT situation. If you're only using one router, check your firewall settings.

Good points. Yes, the Wireless Router is plugged into the Wired Router. He pretty much has it setup the way you suggested, I just suggested he try the Uplink port to see if that might work(should have thought about that earlier, but once starting the thread I kinda put my brain in Park on the issue :D ).

Thanks for the reply. :)

No problem, hope it's working now, you could also manually set the ip address on the wirless comp to the same subnet scheme, but the first way is probably easier.
