wireless router antenna

I have a linksys broadband router (WRT54G). I want add an external antenna to it. The question is which antenna on the existing router do I replace?

It's really hard to say. The firmware will alternate between Tx and Rx depending on what each antenna is doing. Some 3rd party firmwares will allow you to set Tx and Rx for a specific antenna.

Beyond that I don't think there is anything you can do except for adding an antenna to each jack.
