Wireless Router and Phone Conflict?

I'm planning to install wireless connections for computers in conjunction with new cordless phones, and I was wondering if there is a conflict between the two systems. For example, the Linksys router appears to use the 2.4 GHz band. Should I avoid a cordless phone using the same frequency? Thanks.

You should be fine using 2.4GHz phones... as long as they are DSS-enabled (digital spread spectrum). Note that DSS may be labled something else depending on the manufacturer.

Also note that analgo 2.4GHz phones may or may not cause you grief... just the same, some Panasonic 2.4GHz DSS phones were notorious for causing interferience with wireless networks.

Remember, your microwave oven operates at 2.4GHz also.
