Wireless question...Connecting two computers...

Can I connect them with two Linksys WDT11 - Instant Wireless PCI Adapter and not use the WAP11 - Instant Wireless Network Access Point? I know I can connect them with 10/100 cards and a crossover cable.
Thanks in advance,
Phil

Linksys WDT11 Instant Wireless PCI Adapter, is just an adapter to insert Wireless PCMCIA card into PCI slot.

It does nothing by it self.

What you mean is: D-Link DWL-500 11Mb Wireless LAN PCI Network Card (about $110).

Two Client Wireless Cards can talk one to the other when they are configured as an AD-Hoc configuration.

BTW: You probably thought that you could get two $44 Adapter, and get Wireless connection for $88. Unfortunately it is 2002, by 2003 it may be so ?cheap?.

Your best bet is to find inexpensive USB Wireless Client Adapters. $75-$100. If you are lucky, you will get away with $150 expense.
