Wireless Private LAN for Small Business

Hey all,

I'm building a Private LAN for my academic research lab, and need some advice. We will be syncing around 10 client computers with one central data backup computer, and I wanted to get some input on routers / USB adapters.

We will need a Wireless N router, 10 Wireless N adapters, and one signal repeater (since it has to go through a concrete floor to a second level).

I was digging around Newegg trying to figure out which company to go with (I figured sticking with one would give me a more reliable network), and I need to balance the cost. I don't want to go to my boss with a network that costs $600 in USB adapters!

Thanks!

1. Never use WiFi if cat5 cabling is viable. Never. Not. Nada. Security risks, interference, yada yada
2. You'll likely need an added access point (AP) or a router faked as an AP for the other floor. Esp. if that floor is concrete on a steel pan as some are, esp. lower floors. Connect this via cat5. Again, use an AP only if the computers MUST use wireless.
