wireless printer installation

I'm trying to install an HP officejet 7130xi network wireless printer. I have XP OS.

I've installed the wireless card, but I'm having trouble running the network CD. I also have a Linksys router that has a wired desktop and wireless laptop connected to it. The drivers for the printer have already been installed to serve as a "wired" printer.

Do I actually need to run the CD that came with the wireless card in order to get the computer to function?

I tried to add the printer, but it will not print a test page. What have I done wrong? What step did I miss?
