Wireless printer help please....

connected wireless printer to home network.
lappie can see the printer and I can print from there no problem after installing software.
desktop however can't see the printer on the network.

I've installed the software, and it just keeps showing the wireless printer as being offline.
I've gone to control panel/printers/ and add new printer, all that seems to wizard it's way no problem until I try to print.

I'm not a computer know it all even remotely so please be gentle with me!!

What kind of printer? Are all of the computers on the same network? Can you get the IP and set it up manually (I assume you are using the auto setup cd)

Have you tried disabling any firewalls you may have

Can you ping the printers IP address? If the printer doubles as a copier, are you able to "send a scan" to the PC? I have seen them work in one direction and not the other.

Sometimes you have to connect the printer directly to the PC for it to recognize it correctly and have the drivers install properly.
