Wireless Print Server with Canon i9900

Hi all,

I'm trying to connect my Canon i9900 to my home network using a wireless print server. This seems harder than I thought: I ordered two Linksys servers, WPS54G and WPS54GU2, and neither of them worked. So I called Dlink, 3COM, Belkin as well as Canon but nobody can give a definite answer: "It might work, it might not.". Is the i9900 so different from all other photo printers? Does anybody know of one that would work?

Thanks for your help, guys.

A client had an HP laser printer and a DLink print server. The driver that came w/ the print didn't work w/ the print server. After downloading the driver on HP's website it worked perfectly.

My suggestion is try out the driver on Cannon's website, and make sure you follow the instructions step by step when creating an IP port on a PC.

I don't think I'm even that far. When I talked to the Linksys tech, he told me to hold the reset button for 3 seconds and check the printout. But, the printer did not respond. So I don't know how much a driver update would do if the communication between the printer and print server does not work.

I found that the Belkin wireless print server works well with the i9900. The one from Motorola works as well, however, I was unable to configure WEP or WPA with my access point so I gave up no this one.
