Wireless phone service options

We have ATT Wireless and we want to dump it when contract is up.

We wan to try Nextel specially for the Direct Connect feature, what do you guys think of Nextel?

Sh!tty call quality in my experience. And this is in one of the largest markets in the US. If you need DC try out Sprint's Ready Link.

not very happy about Sprint, i had them a few years back and was not happy.

I had Sprint first, then Bellsouth, which became Verizon and now have ATT.

My buddy is telling me not to get nextel because even if you pick the 39.99 plan he says they have like higher taxes and extra fee's that others raising your bill to like 60 a month.

Can Any Nextel customers confirm that?

Service is a joke. They'll rip you off. etc etc. Lookup my old thread about if you're interested. All I can say is you've been warned 🙂

Well right now we have Two phones both on ATT, both have the 29.99 plan which includes only 250 minutes free. our monthly bill is 88 dollars, that's 28 in taxes and whatever else they charge.
our phones are outdated already and both required new batteries, we can get new phones from Att for lower price but have to sign another stupid contract.

Direct Connect sounds ok since always playing voice mail phone tag, that is probably the only reason why we have interested in Nextel.
