Wireless PCI->Wireless PCMCIA?

Question- I've seen all the pictures of the PCI Wireless cards, and all they look like are PCMCIA cards stuck in a PCMCIA->PCI adaptor... am I right to assume this? If I were to pull out the PCMCIA part, will that work in a notebook?

Yeah, most Desktop Wireless Clients are PCMCIA ?stuck? into an adapter.

If you want to use the PCMCIA Card by it self, make sure that you buy an ?un-Stuckable? one.

Some manufactures solder it, or glue it to the Adapter
