I finally got a wireless PC card for my PC.
I have the NetGear MR314 wireless router. I had been running my laptop
flawlessly wireless on this setup so I decided to go ahead and get a
NetGear MA311 wireless PC card from my PC computer. Now this stupid
thing drops off network every 2 minutes or so and I have to relog. I can use
my laptop downstairs and on the other side of the house with now problems
but this is just junk?? Its only 3 feet from the router and dropping that often???
Did i get a bad card or something? I triple check to make sure I got the antenna
on right but there is really no way to mess that up...
Help anyone??

When I am connected it shows singal strength 100% and link Quality 100%...Why is this thing dropping?

My first guess would be interference. Something may be trying to use the same channel you are on. Try changing channels on the wireless router and see if that helps.

Another possibilty is your PC's card is automatically connecting to someone else's wireless network. Try changing your ESSID to something unique and force the clients to only use that ESSID. Also try enabling 128 bit WEP and giving it a hard to guess key.

Ill try the MTU setting at 1500.
Whatever it is, I have to reboot the router. I dont have to
do anything to the PC it will log back on as soon as I reset the
router.

Thanks for the help guys I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out.

Enable 128 bit WEB.

I have to reset the router to get back online.
